يأتي التناول لشعر الشاعرين المتشابهين "فهد العسكر" و"مصطفى وهبي التل" الشهير بعرار، من خلال أنهما تغذياً من أرض واحدة هي أرض الوطن العربي، واشتما هواء واحداً هو هواء هذه الأرض، وعاشا أجيالها تاريخاً، وواكبا جيلهما رافضين، كأنما كانا على موعد، مع اختلاف في سنوات العمر.
لقد تصعلك بعض الشعراء العرب، وتناولوا المرأة والخمر في أشعارهم، وكانوا –مع هذا- مرتبطين ارتباطاً وثيقاً بما خلفه الأقدمون، فلم ينسوا الحمية، ولا الذود عن الذمار.. وهكذا فعل "فهد" و"عرار" لقد كان الوطن المحلي في قلبيهما ووجدانيهما، كما كان الوطن القومي، لأنها كلها أرض مشتركة، يصنع الوجدان وحدتها، وإن فرقتها الأهواء السياسية.
لماذا فهد، وعرار؟ لقد كانا وجهين لعملة إبداعية متشابهة، أو قل كانا وجهين لعملة واحدة، فإذا كان امرؤ القيس يمسك بطرف الخيط، ويمتد به إلى أبي نواس وأبي العتاهية وإضرابهما، فإن "فهداً و"عرار" قد أمسكا بطرف الخيط من الجانب الآخر.
لقد استطاع الشاعران أن يعبرا عن قلق جيلهما نظراً للتناقض المرير بين الواقع والأمل، ولكنهما لم يتركا نفسيهما للضياع، فقد ثارا ورفضا وتمردا، ولكنهما ظلا على ولاء للوطن، وولاء للمواطن، يعر كان عواره بالنقد اللاذع لعله يصحو أو يفيق.
لقد حاولت أن أجعل من الربط التناصي قاسماً مشتركاً بمراحله الثلاث: التوازي والتلاصق والتطابق، لعلي بهذا أصل إلى لب النص، وأربط بين وجدان الشاعرين اللذين يشتركان في كثير من الأشياء، وأجلي صفحة من تاريخهما الفني.
