عندما أخرجنا الجزء الثالث من شرح القانون التجاري، الذي تضمن احكام الشركات التجارية، بأنواعها، عدا شركة المساهمة العامة المحدودة. ذكرنا ان جزءاً رابعاً، سوف نخصصه لشرح أحكام الشركة المذكورة طبقاً لنصوص قانون الشركات الأردني المؤقت رقم (1) لسنة 1989. وسبب ذلك كما أسلفنا، سعة أحكام شركة المساهمة وتنوع أصنافها وأشكالها كالشركة القابضة، الشركة المعفاة، وشركة الاستثمار المشترك. وكنا قد وعدنا أيضاً بأن يتضمن الجزء الرابع شرحاً لأحكام الشركات الأجنبية العاملة في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، والشركات الأجنبية غير العاملة في المملكة، والتي فتح لها فروعاً أو مكاتب تمثيل في هذا البلد. وها هو الجزء الرابع، وقد حاولنا فيه أن نشرح، الأحكام التي وردت في قانون الشركات الأردني النافذ حالياً بشأن شركة المساهمة العامة المحدودة. ولم يفتنا، أن نشير في بعض المواضع، الى أحكام قانون الشركات الملغى لعام 1964 لنجري مقارنة بينها وبين الأحكام الحالية. وأحياناً تشمل المقارنة، ما هو موجود في نصوص القوانين العربية وفي بعض القوانين الأجنبية. كذلك أشرنا الى الجانب العملي والواقعي، في كيفية تأسيس الشركة المساهمة، وما هو متبع من إجراءات في تداول الأسهم في سوق عمان المالي وكيفية رهنها وبيع أو رهن سندات القرض التي قد تصدرها الشركة.
