يمثل هذا الكتاب تجميعا للدروس التى ألقيتها على طلاب كلية الحقوق- جامعة القاهرة في مادة المصطلحات القانونية باللغة الإنجليزية.
و لاشك ان تعلم اللغات الأجنبية امر مطلوب على الأقل في عالمنا المعاصر الذي تداخلت فيه الثقافات وتشابكت فيه المصالح ولا يعني ذلك أبدا الإقلال من لغة الضاد- اللغة العربية - إذ لغة الانسان جزء من شخصيته عليه ألا يقبل أبدا ان تنقصم عنه، لذا فإن الغرض الأساسي من هذه الدروس غرض عملي: تمكين دراسي القانوني من الإلمام ببعض المصطلحات القانونية الشائعة في فروع القانون المختلفة رغبة في تسهيل اطلاعهم على الكتب القانونية باللغة الانجليزية.
ولا يعنى ذلك أنهم سيسيطرون - بهذه الدروس المتواضعة على كل المصطلحات والكلمات القانونية باللغة الإنجليزية ذلك أن اللغة - أية لغة- لابد للسيطرة عليها من عمل دؤوب وجهد متواصل.
