يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تزويد طلبة القانون والباحثين بشرح أهم المصطلحات القانونية باللغة الإنجليزية، فهو يلقي الضوء على مفهوم القانون، الأنظمة القانونية الرئيسية السائدة في العالم المعاصر، تقسيمات القانون، الحقوق القانونية والنظام القانوني الأردني.
وفي هذا الجهد رجع المؤلف إلى العديد من المطبوعات العربية والأجنبية بما في ذلك الوثائق والتقارير الحكومية والكتب الفقهية والمعاجم والمجلات القانونية والصحف والتشريعات وغير ذلك من المطبوعات.
وبغية التيسير على الطلبة والباحثين وتمكينهم من فهم واستيعاب مادة المصطلحات القانونية بسهولة ويسر فقد تمت كتابة المصطلحات الرئيسية قبل بداية كل فقرة. هذه المصطلحات تغطي تقريباً جميع فروع القانون مثل القانون المقارن، القانون المدني، القانون التجاري، القانون الجنائي، القانون الدولي العام، القانون الإداري، قانون العمل، وغيرها. كذلك فقد تمت ترجمة جميع هذه المصطلحات والفقرات إلى اللغة العربية.
