أسعد عبدالمنعم الأسعد (فلسطين).
ولد عام 1947 في مدينة القدس.
تخرج في الكلية الإبراهيمية بالقدس, ثم درس المساحة والرسم الهندسي في بيروت وحصل على الدبلوم عام 1967, درس بعدها اللغة العربية وآدابها في جامعة حلب بسورية, وتخرج عام 1979.
عمل مدرساً مدة ثماني سنوات, كما عمل بالصحافة بادئاً بجريدة الفجر المقدسية, ثم مجلة البيادر.
ويعمل منذ 1979.
رئيساً لتحرير مجلة الكاتب المقدسية الثقافية الشهرية.
من مؤسسي اتحاد الكتاب الفلسطينيين في الأرض المحتلة, وكان رئيساً له ثم أميناً عاماً حتى عام 1992.
وهو عضو في رابطة الصحفيين العرب في القدس, وفي المجلس الفلسطيني للثقافة والإعلام, وفي عدة مجالس أمناء منها المسرح الوطني الفلسطيني, ومسرح القصبة, والمركز العربي للموسيقى وغيرها.

القدس والمطر 1982.
أعماله الإبداعية الأخرى: ليل البنفسج (رواية) 1989.

مؤلفاته: الأرض والممارسة الصهيونية - المناهج التعليمية في ظل الاحتلال - الثقافة الفلسطينية في ظل الاحتلال.

رواية بطعم الجمر " للكاتب الفلسطيني أسعد الاسعد ، يسجل الكاتب المرحلة الحديثة للقضية الفلسطينية من خلال عمل روائي.اهدى الكاتب روايته الى ابطال الرواية زيد ورباب : إلـــــى ربــــــاب، التي سكنت زوايا ذاكرتي ، وزيد الذي حمل بعض ملامحي ، وما برحت تفاصيله تلاحقني أينما رحلت . ويذكر ان أسعد الاسعد روائي وشاعر فلسطيني قدير ، صدرت له عدة دواوين شعرية. وصدر له عن دار الجندي للنشر والتوزيع رواية " هناك في سمر قند عام 2012.
