أسعد عبدالمنعم الأسعد (فلسطين).
ولد عام 1947 في مدينة القدس.
تخرج في الكلية الإبراهيمية بالقدس, ثم درس المساحة والرسم الهندسي في بيروت وحصل على الدبلوم عام 1967, درس بعدها اللغة العربية وآدابها في جامعة حلب بسورية, وتخرج عام 1979.
عمل مدرساً مدة ثماني سنوات, كما عمل بالصحافة بادئاً بجريدة الفجر المقدسية, ثم مجلة البيادر.
ويعمل منذ 1979.
رئيساً لتحرير مجلة الكاتب المقدسية الثقافية الشهرية.
من مؤسسي اتحاد الكتاب الفلسطينيين في الأرض المحتلة, وكان رئيساً له ثم أميناً عاماً حتى عام 1992.
وهو عضو في رابطة الصحفيين العرب في القدس, وفي المجلس الفلسطيني للثقافة والإعلام, وفي عدة مجالس أمناء منها المسرح الوطني الفلسطيني, ومسرح القصبة, والمركز العربي للموسيقى وغيرها.

أعماله الإبداعية الأخرى: ليل البنفسج (رواية) 1989.

صمتت راحيل كعادتها ولكنها واصلت تحديقها بمراد وقد غادرت بفكرها درب المراثي حيث دأبت على حشرها في عناوين لا ترعب في سماعها او الدخول الى حواشيها كل الحكايات في هذه البلاد مغمسة بالدم والمآسي وليس فيها ما يبعث البهجة في النفوس
