"نعد الكؤوس على مهلنا ونشرب خمراً فدا أرضنا، ونزرع في الحقل جهداً جهيداً لتورق أحياؤنا سوسنا، وتلك الحرائق شبت بأرضي ننظف في حرها معدنا، جواب السؤال... وضوح مضيءٌ أنا... من يسائلني من أنا!، نعد الكؤوس... ونشرب خمراً لننصر في يومنا موطنا!". لن يصدقني أحدٌ إذا قلت إن هذا الديوان ليس ضد شخصٍ، أو حكومةٍ، أو نظامٍ بعينه!
وحين قررت نشره نصحني الكثيرون بأن لا أفعل.! لذلك-وقطعاً-سأتحمل نتيجة نشره وحدي، حيث إن النتيجة ستكون رقماً لا يقبل القسمة إلا على شاعر!
أما سبب تصميمي على نشره، فلأني لست المقاتل الذي يُطلق الطلقة... بعد انتهاء المعركة!!!
