"جهة الصواب/عن فلسطين وإليها"، يأتي هذا الإصدار من ضمن سلسلة "حبر وملح" حيث يتابع الشاعر مقارباته النثرية لتجارب وشخصيات وموضوعات راصداً وشاهداً على أحوال الناس والأمكنة. يكتب شاعرنا دائماً وفلسطين في ضميره، بقلم حرٍ طليقٍ مشرئبٍ في الدفاع عن فلسطين. يعترف بشرعية مقاومتها للاحتلال الإسرائيلي "ولسوف يظل هذا القلم فرحاً بكل رصاصة تطلق ضد الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، مستنكراً كل رصاصة تطلق ضد أبناء فلسطين".
يتمنى لو تصير كلماته رصاصات في جعبة مقاتل، وحبره حليباً في صدر أم. ولكن اللغة لم تعد قادرة على وصف ما يحدث في فلسطين، يقتلون البشر والشجر والحجر يقول: "جيش من عتاد وأصفاد وأحقاد كلما رأى عطراً أو فجراً هم باعتقاله يكره الزيتون والليمون والأحلام المثمرة يمقت المآذن والحقول والمناديل البيض يقصف حداء الأمهات وصياح الديكة".
لقد اختار "زاهي وهبي" فلسطين وطناً طوعياً، أو وطناً بديلاً، لا للبنان الذي يسري في دمه وعروقه ويشكل أنسجة قلبه ونسغ عظامه كما يقول، بل لـ "أوطان" الطائفية والمذهبية والعشائرية والفئوية والمناطقية والحزبية. "أختارها "وطناً" لا يزال يمثل عندي البوصلة الدالة على جهة الصواب، في زمن ضيّع كثيرون البوصلة والاتجاه". هذا الكتاب، مجموعة نثرية لكاتب وأديب سكنت فلسطين في دمه، فحول قلمه إلى رصاصة في قلب كل محتل وغاصب لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني الأبي.
