في هذه الرواية للروائية ألكسندرا شريتح والتي جاءت بعنوان "علي وأمه الروسية" يسير الحلم والأمل جنباً إلى جنب، ليتصديا لواقع تعبُر من خلاله الروائية عن كل ما يشتعل في نفسها من أحاسيس، وما يدور في وجدانها من مشاعر، وعن كل خيبات الأمل والفراق، ولكن يبقى للحب مكان في حياة البشر حتى في أصعب الأوقات ولكنها قصة حب لم تكتمل لماذا؟ نجد التفاصيل في خبايا سطور الرواية.
"نهار 12 تموز 2006، سمعنا بخبر خطف حزب الله جنديين إسرائيليين على الحدود اللبنانية – الإسرائيلية، لكنّ ذلك لم يمنعنا من الذهاب إلى المطعم لنأكل السوشي. وبعد أن أنهينا وجبتنا، أعلنتْ إسرائيل الحرب على لبنان، فأسرع العاملون في المطعم إلى إغلاقه، طالبين منّا أن نغادر فوراً فغادرنا فوراً دون أن ندفع الفاتورة. كان من حسن حظّنا أننا ذهبنا إلى أحد أغلى المطاعم في وسط بيروت! وقد ذهبنا رغم علمنا بأن الأمور لم تكن تسير بشكل طبيعي ذلك النهار. فقد كانت الشوارع شبه خالية عكس عادتها، أمّا المطعم الذي اعتدنا أن يكون مكتظاً، فكاد أن يكون فارغاً، لولانا: أنا ورفيقتي أمل وصديقها سليم بالإضافة إلى شابين لا نعرفهما كانا يجلسان على طاولة مجاورة، ويدخّنان. كان أحد هذين الشابين ينظر إليّ من وقت لآخر طوال فترة الغداء. وقد انتبهتُ إلى اهتمامه بي فور دخولي وحرصت على أن أتحاشى نظراته لأن جرأته أربكتني، لكنّ تجاهلي له لم يحدّ من جرأته واندفاعه، فما أن خرجنا من المطعم، حتى اقترب منّي وخاطبني باسمي. غريب! قلتُ في نفسي. لكنّ الأكثر غرابةً كان أنه تكلم معي بالروسية، وهي لغتي الأم الثانية لأن أمّي روسية".
رواية ممتعة ومدهشة في بساطتها وجرأتها وصدقها، وفي قوة الرسالة التي أرادت أن تقولها الكاتبة حيث محبة الوطن ومحبة الآخرين خالدة في نفوسنا.
مواقف مؤثرة، وأفكار إنسانية وتأملات في الحياة، تتحاشى التعقيد بالرغم من خصوبتها وغناها.
