في هذا الكتاب يعيد الشاعر السعودي أمجد المحسن إحياء واحد من فنون الشعر الفارسي القديم وهو «الرّاهْنَامَجُ»، قدم له بتعريف ورد في كتاب "تاج العروس" وهو: الرّاهْنَامَجُ، والرهمانجُ، والرّحماني. استعملها العربُ، وأصلُهَا رَاهْ نَامَه ومعناه كتابُ الطَّرِيقِ لأَنّ رَاه هو الطَّرِيق ونامَه: الكِتَابُ، وهو الكِتَابُ الّذِي يَسْلُكُ به الرَّبَابِنَةُ البَحْر ويهْتَدُونَ به في مَعْرِفَةِ الَمَراسِي وغَيْرهَا".
وكتاب «الرّاهْنَامَجُ» بصيغته الجديدة عند الشاعر "أمجد المحسن"، يبدو جنس أدبي، يقترب من فن "الأرجوزة" أو من فن "العشق الصوفي"، وكذلك شعر "الأندلسيات" وهو في وقعه، مصدر وحي الشاعر وإلهامه وروحه، لكن روح الشاعر تنازعه إلى الموسيقا... فنراه يتسائل: "هل أنا موسيقيٌّ قرّر أن يكون شاعراً أم شاعرٌ يريد أن يخرج عن احتماله لاحتمال آخر. الموسيقى في كلّ شيءٍ هَوسي. أكواني متعدّدة.. داخل كَوني شاعراً.. ويخيّل لي أنّ النمو ليس نموّاً.. إنما سَفَرٌ من مكوثَرةٍ لمُكوثرةٍ أخرى...". وفي نفس المسار يُكمل الشاعر فينقلنا إلى عوالم وجدانية تتسم بالطهارة والسكون والتوحد غير المرئي بكل أركان الطبيعة – الأرض والسماء والقمر والنجوم والشمس والبحر – وكأنه في تجربة ميتافيزيقية غيبية متمنعة عن الحس والعقل، يسأل عن طريق البحر كالرَّبَابِنَةُ أسلافه مُحلقاً بأسفاره ومخياله محاولاً الوصول إلى سدرة اللامنتهى...
