والرواية تكشف لنا جانباً غير متوقّع لتراث جلال الدين الرومي، الذي يقع في الجهة المناقضة للقراءة الشائعة والإعلامية، تماماً ككشفها تحليلات غريبة وتبادلاً للتوحيد والكفر عن القبح المُرعب والحُسن الذي يأسر الألباب.
إنها رواية باطنية تاريخية رومانسية سياسية، متعددة الأديان واللغات والقوميات، بين القلب والعقل والعلم والدين، بين المسيحية والإسلام والأزيدية واليهود والأقباط، بين الشرق والغرب والعرب وماعداهم، لتوثيق بعض الأحداث التي دارت في سهل سنجار حيث تم إنتهاك طائفة الأزيديين في شمالي العراق على يد عصابات الإرهاب البشعة.
