هو قاص وروائي فلسطيني من مواليد عام 1942 في قرية ذكرين قضاء الخليل, فلسطين.
انخرط في صفوف المقاومة الفلسطينية واستلم عدة مناصب في مؤسسات منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية.
عمل نائباً لرئيس تحرير مجلة الكاتب الفلسطيني الصادرة عن اتحاد الكتاب العرب والصحفيين الفلسطينيين في بيروت.
عضو في جمعية القصة والرواية.
من مؤلفاته: ذكرى الأيام الماضية - قصص - بيروت 1970.
أيام الحرب والموت- رواية - بيروت 1973.
بيت أخضر ذو سقف قرميدي- قصص- بغداد 1974.
البكاء على صدر الحبيب- رواية - بيروت 1974.
مهر البراري - قصص - بيروت 1974.

لا يمكن للناقد أو الدارس للأدب الفلسطينى في السنوات القليلة الأخيرة أن يمر مرور العابر على ابداعات رشاد أبو شادور القصصية والروائية ، فحروفة معبئة بنكهة مختلفة ممزوجة بالنثرية التي تستعصي أحياناً على التجنيس، فهو الأسير الذي يتجول بقلب نفطور بين أنقاضه حراً، أو شبة حر، ذلك أن حريته التي يحلم بها غير كاملة لكن عينيه مفتوحتان على أرض الفاجعة ماضياً وحاضراً وأنهما لتحدقان وتتأملان بحرية كاملة مصائر البشر والمكان ، وما اعترى الحياة والأاشياء من نفسه ، الكاتب الإنسان والمواطن العادي الذي يبحث له عن مكان.
وفي مجموعته القصصية " الضحك آخر الليل" يحاول أن يصف شوق الأنسان العادي إلى الحياة والحب والفرح، وأيا كان شكل هذه الكتابة فأنها لتمس الروح، وتدك أضلاع الحاضر ، ناثرة أمامنا جملتها الإعتراضية الطويلة ، التى أخذت منه عمره، ولم يمل أو يتعب من تصدير الأسئلة القلقة أو الصراخ ذاته.
