ياسمين ثابت مصرية الجنسية من الأسكندرية ولدت في 7 اكتوبر 1987 تخرجت من كلية الفنون الجميلة قسم الديكور عام 2009 تحب القراءة والتأليف فازت في مسابقة الرسم بالكلمات للشعر الخاصة بمكتبة الاسكندرية فازت بالمركز الثاني في مسابقة التكية الرمضانية للقصص القصيرة وتم نشر ثلاث قصص قصيرة لها في كتاب بعنوان فرصة أخيرة للموت الصادر عن دار أكتب في معرض الكتاب يناير 2013.

لم تكن آشيا جبلًا حتى تقف في وجه الريح، طوت عودها وانحنت للريح لتأخذها حيث ما تهوى، فلا تكلفها حياتها، لا تعرف كيف طارت الأيام حتى جاءها يوم خطبتها باردًا جافًا، حتى الشمس اشاحت بحرارتها نافرة من هذا اليوم البائس، الجميع كان يمارس اللامبالاة بإتقان، أهلها ومعارفها وجيرانها، الكل شارك في تحضير حفل خطوبتها الصغير وكأنه مأتم، إكرام تلك الأجنبية الماكرة دفنها! وقد كان هذا شعورها بحق، حين ارتدت دبلة خطوبتها، شعرت بروحها تغوص في الرمال، وهي تتطلع لابتسامة أكرم، كانت تختنق تجاهد لتتنفس، دون جدوى، شخص واحد تمنت ألا يحضر، حين رأت بثينة أمسكت بيدها بلهفة تسألها بعينيها، فأجابت بالنفي، ارتاحت آشيا، لم يحضر عدنان، حتى أنها لم تخبره، علم من أهالي القرية كالغريب؛ خاصمها لكنه تفهمها، لم يكن ليتحمل الخبر منها على أية حال، هل كان سيحطم كل ما حولها من زينة لو أنه حضر؟ هل كان سيتشاجر مع أكرم كما فعلوا صغارًا؟ هل كان سيعانقها ويهرب بها خارج المكان؟ قطعًا لم يكن سيأتي ليصافحها مهنئًا، ارتاحت، على الأقل لم تغتل الحياة عدنان فيها، كانت فقط مندهشة وهي تحدق في فاطمة، بدت وكأنها هي العروس، كانت تشع حبًا وأملًا وجمالًا، كأنها ولدت من جديد، اندهشت من ابتسامتها الشفافة، كأنها على وشك أن تطير، تقبلها وتحدق بها وتحتضن رأسها وتثبت طرف فستانها، تأملتها باستفهام، لم يكن موسى إلى جوارها وانشغل بأخيه أكرم راقصًا الدبكة، لم يكن هناك ما يستدعي ابتسام آشيا لكن فرحة فاطمة كانت معدية، ما لبثت أن استسلمت لها ضاحكة....
