بول ريكور (بالفرنسية: Paul Ricœur ) فيلسوف فرنسي وعالم إنسانيات معاصر ولد في فالينس، شارنت، 27 فبراير 1913، وتوفي في شاتيناي مالابري، 20 مايو 2005. هو واحد من ممثلي التيار التأويلي، اشتغل في حقل الاهتمام التأويلي ومن ثم بالاهتمام بالبنيوية، وهو امتداد لفريديناند دي سوسير. يعتبر ريكور رائد سؤال السرد. أشهر كتبه (نظرية التأويل -التاريخ والحقيقة-الزمن والحكي- الخطاب وفائض المعنى - Interpretation philosophic theory - Discourse and the Surplus of Meaning / من منشورات جامعة تكساس المسيحية عام 1976).

يتزايد الاهتمام بفلسفة بول ريكور يوماً بعد يوم، فتعقد حولها مؤتمرات، وتصدر كتب. ويكمن سر جاذبية هذا الفلسفة في أنها تنطوي على مشرعين متناقضين، تريد مؤاخاتهما، والتوفيق بينهما، فمن جهة هناك أنثروبولوجيا فلسفية تسعى لتحقيق فلسفة في الإرادة، وتستثمر الظاهراتية والانطولوجية والوجودية، وتتضح أبعادها بدءاً من كتبه الأولى: "رمزية الشر" التناهى والإثم"، "الإنسان الخطاء"... الخ.
ومن وجهة ثانية هناك تأويلية نقدية تريد الاستفادة من آخر ما توصلت إليه علوم اللغة ونظريات الاتصال، وتتمثل هذه التأويلية في كتبه اللاحقة: "صراع التأويلات"، سطوة الاستعارة"، التأويلية والعلوم الاجتماعية"، الأيويولوجيا واليوتوبيا"، "من النص إلى الفعل"، على الخصوص في كتابه الأخير ذي الأجزاء الثلاثة الذي سيحتل بؤرة الاهتمام في هذا الكتاب الذي احتوى على دراسات أعدها مجموعة من كبار البحاثة ركزوا اهتمامهم فيها على تحليل فلسفة بول ريكور بعامتها وعلى شرح أفكاره التي بثها كما قلنا في كتابه "الزماد والسرد".
في البداية تحدث سعيد الغانمي عن الفلسفة التأويلية عند بول ريكور، ومن ثم تطور كيفن فانهوزر لمسألة أسلاف فلسفة ريكور في "الزمان والمكان"، بعد هذا توقف ريتشارد كيرني عند مشكلة التأويل النقدي للأسطورة، أما جوناثان داي فتحدث عن السرد والتجربة الفلسفية لبول ريكور، وتوقف ج.م. بيرنشتاين عند موضوع المرويات الكبرى أما دون لهوة فتحدث عن موضوع النص والتأويلية الجديدة، ولبحث موضوع السرد عند ريكور عقدت ندوة مطولة تحدث فيها كل من ديفيد كاروتشارلز تايلور، أما المقالات الثلاثة الأخيرة فكانت بقلم بول ريكور نفسه وجاءت تحت عنوان ريكور والسرد، الهوية السردية، من الوجود إلى فلسفة اللغة.
