بول ريكور (بالفرنسية: Paul Ricœur ) فيلسوف فرنسي وعالم إنسانيات معاصر ولد في فالينس، شارنت، 27 فبراير 1913، وتوفي في شاتيناي مالابري، 20 مايو 2005. هو واحد من ممثلي التيار التأويلي، اشتغل في حقل الاهتمام التأويلي ومن ثم بالاهتمام بالبنيوية، وهو امتداد لفريديناند دي سوسير. يعتبر ريكور رائد سؤال السرد. أشهر كتبه (نظرية التأويل -التاريخ والحقيقة-الزمن والحكي- الخطاب وفائض المعنى - Interpretation philosophic theory - Discourse and the Surplus of Meaning / من منشورات جامعة تكساس المسيحية عام 1976).

كتاب الزمان والسرد التصوير فى السرد القصصي الجزء الثانى تأليف بول ريكور يُعد هذا الكتاب واحد من أهم الأعمال الفلسفية التي صدرت في أواخر القرن العشرين، حيث قال عنه المنظر التاريخي "هيدن وايت" أنه أهم عملية تأليف بين النظرية الأدبية والنظرية التاريخية أنتجت في قرننا هذا. إن ما يقوم به المؤلف هنا يهم عالم النقد الأدبي ويوسع أفق اهتمام الفيلسوف ليطال الرواية العالمية، يتناول الكاتب بالتحليل ثلاث روايات مختلفة، الأولى إنجليزية، والثانية ألمانية، والثالثة فرنسية. كتاب ينم عن قلم رفيع، وباع طويل في القدرة على التفلسف والتحليل، يملك صاحبه مشروعا فكريا واضحا، ونسقا تحليليا لا غبار عليه، يبسط فكرته بمنهج "عقلاني" منطقي محكم البناء، لهذا فلا غرابة أن تجد جزالة اللفظ تجاور فصاحة المعنى، وكثافة الفكرة تلامس صدق المقصد.
