صفاء فارس الطحاينة، فنانة تشكيلية وكاتبة قصص وروايات، من مواليد الزرقاء عام ١٩٧٦مديرة مدرسة، حاصلة على دبلوم صيدلة عام ١٩٩٦، وبكالوريوس اللغة الإنجليزية وآدابها عام ٢٠٠٠، وفي عام ٢٠٠٩ حصلت على الدبلوم العالي في الإدارة المدرسية. ثم اختتمت مسيرة التحصيل الأكاديمي بدبلوم مهني في القيادة المتقدمة من أكاديمية الملكة رانيا العبد الله.
تأتي مجموعتها القصصية الأولى (خفايا الروح) باكورة إبداعها التي تحمل مضامين عميقة، وتقنيات فنيّة عالية، وخطاب سردي محكم، تمزج بين الخيال والرمز والمجاز بنسق جمالي وبصور مبتكرة..

لا أزعم أنَّني أروي الحقيقة كاملة، لأنَّ فلسطين أكبر من أن تُختصر في كلمات، وأعمق من أن تحتويها القصص، لكنَّني أكتب من خيالي المتورِّط بالواقع، من قلبي الَّذي تربَّى على نشيد (موطني) كأنَّه صلاة، من ذاكرتي الَّتي تشكَّلت منذ الطُّفولة على صور الانتفاضة، وعلى صوت الشَّيخ أحمد إسماعيل ياسين صامدًا فوق كرسِيِّه المتحرِّك، وعلى مشهدِ الطِّفل محمَّد الدُّرَّة يحتمي بجسد والده، ويُقتل على الهواء مباشرةً، أمام عجز العالم وصمت الكاميرات.
