سامي وسارة، اللذان سيجمعهما كتاب في مكتبة الحي صدفة، سيمهّد خطوة الانبثاق الأولى جرّاء هذا اللقاء الودي، كاشفا الضوء ومبديا عن مفاجآت لم تكن في حسبان أي منهما من محيطهما.
الرواية تقوم على ثلاثة محاور رئيسية:
1. المحور الرومانسي: علاقة سامي وسارة التي تبدأ من لقاء عابر في مكتبة وتتحول إلى حب يحمل معنى الخلاص والأمل.
2. المحور الاجتماعي المأساوي: سقوط علي في هاوية الإدمان، بما يعكس أثر البيئة القاسية والظروف العائلية المنهارة.
3. المحور النقدي السياسي والديني: فضح مظاهر الفساد، النفاق الديني، وانهيار مؤسسات العدالة.
الدمج بين هذه الخطوط أعطى الرواية ثراءً موضوعيًا، ومكّنها من أن تكون أكثر من مجرد قصة حب، لتصبح لوحة اجتماعية وسياسية متشابكة.
