- مكان النار سجين (قيل هي الأرض السابعة السفلى)، كما أن العرش سقف الجنة، فالمخلوقات كلما ارتفعت اتسعت، وكلما هبطت تضايقت، فالجنة في أوسع مكان وأعلاه، والنار في أسفل مكان وأضيقه، نعوذ بوجه الله منها ومما يقرب إليها.
- لجهنم سبعة أطباق وهي: جهنم، ولظى، والحطمة، والسعير، وسقر، والجحيم، والهاوية.
- قعر جهنم مسافة سبعين عاما، كما في الأحاديث التي رواها مسلم وغيره.
