سبح رواية “وهن العظم مني” للكاتب محمد حسن العمري في تاريخ سياسي واجتماعي وفكري للجيل المعاصر منذ طفرة الفضائيات والانترنت إلى وقتنا الراهن.
تستهل الرواية بتجسيد نفسي وفكري لشخصية متناقضة تدعى “ابو شاكيرا” المولود بإحدى القرى الأردنية المنسية، وفي اليوم ذاته الذي يولد فيه يموت المفكر الجزائري مالك بن نبي.
شخصية بطل الرواية غير الأيديولوجية تعرج على انتقادات لجيل بأكمله منذ العام 1998.. ففي الوقت الذي تشغل فيه شخصية الرواية بالهم العام تنحسر اهتمامات الجيل الجامعي وخصوصا الفتيات بتغيرات الموضة السائدة والمتقلبة وعالم ثورة الاتصالات.
تغوص الرواية بالتجارب والأسماء والأحداث التي رافقت هذه الحقبة التاريخية مع رفدها بأحداث وأسماء عامة اثرت الساحة الأردنية وذهب معظمها إلى النسيان وفيها سرد نقدي يرد على لسان شخصية الرواية يطال الغلو السافر على الشخصية العربية اثر تداعيات أحداث الحادي عشر من أيلول (سبتمبر) العام 2001.
تنتهي الرواية وهي ترصد تلك التحولات على مصائر شخصياتها في شكل مثير للجدل والغموض. لعل ابرز معالم الرواية تعدد جذور المجتمع من خلال الشخوص المتقاربة التي تتعايش وسط انشغالات عامة تتجاوز الجذور المتباينة.
