إبراهيم زيدان: أديب لبناني، شقيق المؤرخ والأديب وعالم اللغويات الشهير جرجي زيدان، وُلد إبراهيم حبيب زيدان عام ١٨٧٩م ببيروت ونشأ بها، ثم لحق أخاه إلى القاهرة.
وقد نشر كتبًا مدرسية باسمه، ومن أشهر أعماله المستظرفات من النوادر؛ ﻛ «نوادر الكرام» و«نوادر العشاق» و«النوادر المطربة».
وتوفي إبراهيم زيدان بالقاهرة عام ١٩٥٦م.

ما عبس وجه فقير أو أقطب حاجب معوز إلا وكان البخل سببه والإمساك باعثاً عليه كأن بد البخيل مطبقة آلة كهربائية يمتد مجراها إلى كل طالب محتاج فيؤثر فيه دلائل الأسى وينقل إليه شكلها المنقبض فيعود ذلك المسكين بقلب منكسر ونفس صغيرة يتهدده الجوع وما من مدافع وينتابه الهلاك وما من ناظر إليه أو عاطف عليه فيكاد يقضي بين ذلك لولا يد كريم تغار عليه فتنشله من هوة الفقر والهلاك بآلة تسطو على تلك الآلة الكهربائية وهي "الإحسان" فتبطل تأثيرها ببعض دريهمات يبتسم لها وجه من عبثت به يد الأقدار وينشرح لأجلها صدر من ضيقت عليه عوامل القضاء فيكون قد خلص نفساً كادت تفارق الحياة بما يكسبه ثناء أهل الأرض وأجراً عظيماً من رب السماء.
وقد قيل: السخي من كان مسروراً ببذله متبرعاً بعطائه لا يلتمس عرض دنيا فيحبط عمله ولا طلب مكافأة فيسقط شكره ويكون مثله مثل الصائد الذي يلقي الحب للطائر لا يريد نفعها ولكن نفع نفسه. وعلى هذا فقد جاءت محتويات نوادر الكرام كالتالي: القسم الأول: في نوادر البرامكة, الثاني: معن بن زائدة, الثالث: حاتم الطائي, الرابع: الخليفة المهدي, الخامس: هارون الرشيد, السادس: الأمين والمأمون, السابع: متفرقة في الكرم.
