تنخر جرثومة الشعر جسد القصيدة في (مُدوَّنات) عارف الساعدي، المجموعة الشعرية الجديدة، لتترك داخلها قصائد متحركة في الزمان والمكان والأحداث؛ تمنح الوجود معنى مغاير، فبدا الشاعر وكأنه يتوسل القصيدة، لا لتكون له فيها جولة شعر وحسب، بل ليفتح فيها مغاليق الأسئلة، أسئلة الوجود، وفكرة الأشياء وجوهرها وهو يعيد بمدوناته الخمسة (الرمل، إعرابي، العاشق، الموت، الحياة) ترتيب وتنظيم العناصر المتبعثرة في الواقع، محولاً إياها إلى علامات، ورموز لغوية ثرية، يكتمل بوجودها المعنى، ويدخل القارئ بقراءتها في عوالم تجليات لا تنتهي.
من "مدونة العاشق عند منتصف الحكاية" نقرأ: "مطر" قديمٌ في القصيدة ينزلُ... لا توقفوا يده ولا تتبللوا... مطر يمرُ على تراب حكايتي... فيفوح طينٌ والحكاية تهطلُ... منذ اقترحتك في القصيدة غيمةً... وأنا أعني والكلام مبللُ... غرقت بساحلك البني مواسمي... فمتى لنجمتك البعيدة أرحلُ... المطمئنون القدامى كلهم... قد أوغلوا في العشق... ثم على يديك... توغلوا...".
توزعت القصائد على العناوين الرئيسية الآتية: 1-مدونة الرمل، 2-مدونة إعرابي، 3-مدونة العاشق، 4-مدونة الموت، 5-مدونة الحياة.
ها أنا الآن وحدي... أصدقائي القريبون منّي... اختفوا... وصغاري الذين تعبتُ كثيراً عليهم... ينامون في أوَّل الليل... والمدينة تغفو... وتغفو شوارعها... الوادعة... وأنا بعد لم أتعوَّدْ... على النوم في الساعة التاسعة...
تُرى أين أذهب يا رب... وأنا اعتدت أن أسهر الليل... أتنقل بين المقاهي... وأضحك في صخب حافي القلب... حين ألُّم المدينة في الأصدقاءْ... لا أحب الهدوء... أحب النكات... وأعشق كالحل كلَّ النساء.. وقليلاً من الشاي بعد العشاءْ...
