إن الفكرة الجوهرية لهذا الكتاب تقوم في تبيان أثر الشخصية المحمدية في وضع أسس اللحظة التأسيسية للمرجعيات الثقافية المتسامية التي أدت إلى نقل العرب من المرحلة الدينية إلى المرحلة الدينية السياسية، وما استتبعها من تأسيس لاحق للثقافة الإسلامية وحضارتها. وبالتالي الكشف عن أنه كلما جرى الغوص في حقيقتها التاريخية كلما تعمق البحث في قيمتها الما فوق التاريخية. ومن ثم البرهنة على أث إن الفكرة الجوهرية لهذا الكتاب تقوم في تبيان أثر الشخصية المحمدية في وضع أسس اللحظة التأسيسية للمرجعيات الثقافية المتسامية التي أدت إلى نقل العرب من المرحلة الدينية إلى المرحلة الدينية السياسية، وما استتبعها من تأسيس لاحق للثقافة الإسلامية وحضارتها. وبالتالي الكشف عن أنه كلما جرى الغوص في حقيقتها التاريخية كلما تعمق البحث في قيمتها الما فوق التاريخية. ومن ثم البرهنة على أثرها الجوهري في تحدي الوجود التاريخي بإرادة اابدائل الكبرى. ومن هنا بقاءها الحي وقدرتها على الإلهام العقلي والروحي بوصفها شخصية تاريخية وما فوق تاريخية، أي كل ما جرى وضعه في مفهوم النبي محمد والنبوة، والرسول والرسال المحمدية.
