يقدم هذا البحث دراسة سلسلة العلاقة التاريخية والواقعية بين صيرورة الدولة في آسيا الوسطى وخصوصية نخبها السياسية وأيديولوجيتها وأثر ذلك في مسألة البدائل الثقافية السياسية، التي يشكل الموروث الإسلامي فيها القوة الكبرى الكامنة بالنسبة لمصير هذه المنطقة الإسلامية في القرن الحالي، وقد قام المؤلف ببناء البحث بشكل تسلسلي وبليغ وواضح، يحث بدأ بتقديم نظري للظاهرة الإسلامية بشكل عام وخصوصيتها وآفاقها في دول وسط آسيا الإسلامية المعاصرة، ثم دراسة وتحليل ماهية دول آسيا الوسطى، وأثر كيانها الثقافي الإسلامي بالنسبة لوجودها السياسي والقومي والدولي، ويوضح أثر السيطرة الروسية في تفكيك المنطقة ثقافيا وسياسيا، ويحلل طبيعة الدولة الجديدة في وسط آسيا الوسطى وصيرورة أيديولوجيتها الحكومية والقومية،وينتقل بعد ذلك لتناول واقع وآفاق الإسلامي السياسي في الدول الإسلامة وسط آسيا، ويختتم بتقويم عام لواقع وآفاق الإسلام السياسي في المنطقة.
