محكمة العدل في بلخ تأليف بهرام بيضائي، اختار المؤلف في مسرحيته هذه مدينة بلخ مسرحاً لنقده السياسي، وهي مدينة فارسية قديمة، تقع في منطقة خراسان شمال شرقي إيران، واليوم تقع في شمال أفغانستان، وجزء منها يقع في تركستان.
ومع أن القصة خيالية زماناً، فإنها واقعية تلمسها الكاتب بنفسه، فكتبها بقلمه، متخذاً الرموز وسيلة. ومن أبرز الرموز الشخصيات التالية: القاضي رمزاً للسلطة الظالمة، وكبير العسس رمزاً للرشوة المتفشية، وحيدر رمزاً للثورة، ومرجان، شخصية نسائية، رمزاً لعفاف الشعب، وخدا بخش رمزاً للشعب المقهور.
إن هذه المسرحية مأساة ساخرة ومؤلمة، أدخل فيها المؤلف مشاهد الفكاهة على أساس أن "شر البلية ما يضحك". وقد كان ناجحاً جداً في ربط الدمعة بالبسمة، والضحكة بالألم، والنور بالظلام
