في تناوله لمشكلاتِ الحياة الكبرى، على حدّ تعبير الشاعر اللبناني يوسف الخال، يتَعَمَّد وسام جبران ألّا يُغلق الدوائر الوجوديّة المطروحة للنقاش أبدًا. فهو في هذا الديوان، كما في ديوانيْه السّابقيْن، "إنتِـ _ Anti _ ماءات" و"رُتيلاء"، يتساءل مُخترِقًا جلدة الواقع حتّى النُّخاع ليُخلخلَ ضيقه ومحدوديّة انتظامه. من هنا يصير همّه الانفتاح على ثقافة كونٍ غير متناهٍ، لا تحدّه رؤية منغلقة، لا تمتدّ بهمومها أبعد من أرنبة أنفها. يُسَخِّر جبران لهذا الصّراع أدواتٍ شعريةٍ عديدة، أهمّها الانزياحات اللُّغوية المكثّفة، الاستبدالية منها والتركيبة، كالاستعارات البعيدة المركّبة وتراسل الحواس والترادف الخلفي والحذف والتكرار، إضافة إلى التّناصّ والحوارية وتعدّد الأصوات واختراق المألوف اللغوي وتكسير مبنى الجملة العادي، وتعَمُّد استعمالِ غريب اللّغة في مواقع مفارقة ليُحدِث توتّرًا متعَمَّدًا في عمليّة التّلقّي.
