لذا فالحديث عن التصوف العراقي ومنشئه وأهم طرقه وشخصياته يعطينا تصورًا واضحًا عن حقيقة الصوفية بصفة عامة بصورة تخترق حدود الزمان والمكان، وكذلك تعيننا على تكوين صورة متكاملة عن أوضاع الصوفية وماهيَّتها.
