إنَّ الإجتناب عن الملاذ ليس لأجل تحريمها على المعتكف أو لسّد باب الإستمتاع منها بل لإحكام جانب التقوى وتقوية الجانب الروحي في الأعمال العبادية، فإذا اجتنب المُعتكِف عنها للتقرب إلى الله تعالى فلا شك بأنه يُثاب ويؤجر، والإبتعاد عن كل ما هو مسموح له في سائر أيّام الحياة لأجل طاعة الرب تعالى هو من موجبات رحمته تعالى، ويكفي في فضل هذا العمل أنَّ الله سبحانه وتعالى جعله من جملة الأهداف المقدسة والأغراض العالية لبناء بيته المحرّم، كما ورد في الآية 125 من سورة البقرة، فالإعتكاف عُدّ من جُملة الأغراض لتطهير البيت من نجاسة الأصنام.
