ديوان شعر ضم عددا من قصائد مكتوبة عن مدينة عدن ، وهو أو ديوان شعري في تاريخ عدن منذ أن عرفت عدن الشعر ، لايحمل في طياته إلا قصائد عن عدن. لقد نشر الأستاذ د أحمد علي الهمداني كتاب باسم (( عدن في عيون الشعراء )) جمع فيه كل ماقيل من أشعار عن عدن من لدن العصر الجاهلي وحتى القرن العشرين ، وبدايات القرن الحالي ، وأصدره في العام 2005م، وأعاد أصداره في نسخة مزيدة ومنقحة بعد عشرة أعوام تقريبا ، وضم الكتاب عددا كبيرا من الشعراء ، وكان نصيب كل شاعر قصيدة إلى قصيدتين ، وثلاثا وأربعا في أحسن الأحوال ، لكن هذا الديوان هو الديوان الأول والوحيد الذي يضم قصائد لشاعر واحد عن مدينة عدن .
