سيرة ذاتية تمثل الهم الجمعي لأبناء الشعب الفلسطيني الذين عاشوا قسوة الحياة في مخيمات اللجوء والمنافي بعد أن اقتلعوا من ديارهم ووطنهم ليعيشوا على قارعات المنافي يلتقطون لقمة العيش من هنا وهناك، لكن بعزة نفس وكبرياء، ولعل خير ما يمثل الحديث عن هذه السيرة الكلمات التي عقّب بها الناقد والأديب الأستاذ الدكتور إبراهيم السعافين، فأقتبس منها قوله:
"سيرة الدكتور ''أنور الشعر'' سيرة ممتعة مفيدة تصوّر بالتفصيل مراحل كفاحه في العمل والتدريس، ويظلّ القارئ طوال السيرة مشدودًا إليها وهو يتابع بالتقدير هذه الحركة المباركة وسط الصّعاب والأشواك.
وكم كنّا سنخسر كثيرًا لو لم تشهد الحركة الأدبية صدور مثل هذه السيرة الذاتية التي تضيف جديدًا إلى منجز هذا الفن الجميل."
