محمد عادل زكي: مفكِّر مصري يُعَد من أبرز مجدِّدي علم الاقتصاد السياسي في العالم العربي، ومؤسِّس مدرسة الإسكندرية كتيارٍ فكري هدفه إحياءُ الاقتصاد السياسي بصفته علمًا اجتماعيًّا، وإعادةُ النظر في مسلَّماته ونظرياته. من أهم مُساهَماته نقدُه الحاسم لنظرية التبادل غير المتكافئ، وتصحيح مقياس القيمة بعد أكثر من مِائتَي سنة من كتابات «ماركس». وتُعَد نظريته في تسرُّب القيمة على الصعيد العالمي من النظريات المهمة في تفسير تخلُّف بلدان العالم الثالث.
وُلِد «محمد عادل زكي» في حي الإبراهيمية بمحافظة الإسكندرية في الحادي عشر من شهر سبتمبر عام ١٩٧٢م، والتحق بكلية الحقوق جامعة الإسكندرية، وتخرَّج فيها عام ١٩٩٢م، وعمل بالمحاماة.
من أهم مؤلَّفاته: «مبادئ الاقتصاد السياسي»، و«التبعية مقياس التخلُّف»، و«روَّاد الفكر الاقتصادي»، و«اقتصادات تنزف عرقًا»، «الاقتصاد السياسي للتخلف»، بالإضافة إلى العديد من الأبحاث المنشورة في دوريات علمية محكَّمة باللغات العربية والفرنسية والإنجليزية.
