كنت أُسرَّح شعري أمام المرآة، وقد تجمَّع في يدي اليُسرى على كتفي الأيمن، فجأةً انتبهتُ وحدَّقتُ. كان تقف في مواجهتي شابَّة، رأيتُ صورتها من قبل معلَّقة فى بيت جدَّي ترتدي فستانًا ديكولتيه، وشعرها مُنسدل على كتفها الأيمن، كانت جميلةً، حتى إن صورتها بالأبيض والأسود طبعت في روحي، ومنذ رأيتني في مرآة أمي وأنا لا أتشكَّك أو أشعر بالامتنان إن قال أحدهم: "أنتِ جميلة".
فعلاً "أنا جميلة" لأني أُشبه أمي.
