الأستاذ الدكتور عز الدين فراج وُلد بمحافظة سوهاج بصعيد مصر، حصل على بكالريوس العلوم الزراعية من كلية الزراعة، جامعة فؤاد الأول -القاهرة- في سنة 1936م - وحصل على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في البيولوجي سنة 1945م .. وعلى الماجستير سنة 1946م .. ونال درجة الدكتوراه في البساتين (الخضر واقتصادياتها) سنة 1956م.
وتدرج في سلك الوظائف الجامعية -بكلية الزراعة- جامعة فؤاد الأول- فعمل معيدًا سنة 1936م، وتولى منصب أس الأستاذ الدكتور عز الدين فراج وُلد بمحافظة سوهاج بصعيد مصر، حصل على بكالريوس العلوم الزراعية من كلية الزراعة، جامعة فؤاد الأول -القاهرة- في سنة 1936م - وحصل على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في البيولوجي سنة 1945م .. وعلى الماجستير سنة 1946م .. ونال درجة الدكتوراه في البساتين (الخضر واقتصادياتها) سنة 1956م.
وتدرج في سلك الوظائف الجامعية -بكلية الزراعة- جامعة فؤاد الأول- فعمل معيدًا سنة 1936م، وتولى منصب أستاذ كرسي قسم الإنتاج سنة 1960م .. ثم عمل أستاذًا متفرغًا بقسمي الإنتاج النباتي والبساتين سنة 1973م.
له أكثر ن سبعين بحثًا علميًا زراعيًا في مجال زيادة الإنتاج، كما قدم للمكتبة الإسلامية العديد من المؤلفات منها:(حياة محمد)، و(عظمة الرسول)، و(الإعجاز العلمي والإسلامي) إلى جانب أكثر من عشرة كتب في المجالات الأدبية والإجتماعية منها (فن القراءة) و(العالم العربي الجديد) و(نحو قرية أفضل).
