( تُفْتَح السِتَار ، يقف شاب نحيل الجسد في مُنْتَصف المسرح ، بنظّارته الطبيّة ، يحمل بين يديه كتابًا ، يُقلّب صفحاته بسبّابته ، ومن خلفه أكشاك ثلاثة بعرض المسرح ، الأولى على يمين المَسْرَح تعلوها يافطة تحمل اسم - الغردقة للنشر والتوزيع - ، وعليها بعضًا من إصدارات الدار وبداخل الكُشْك يجلس عاملان يبدو عليهما الإرهاق الشديد ، أمّا في الكشك المنتصف ، والذي يحتل مساحة كبيرة عن صاحبيه فتحمل يافطته اسم - س للنشر والتوزيع - ، امّا في الجانب الأيسر فيقبع كشك صغير الحجم لا تعلوه أية يافطة ، ممتلئة أرففه بالمُجلّدات الضخمة ، ويقف أمامها رجل عجوز بعبائته الواسعة ، يُمسِك بيديه ورقة مطويّة يحجب بها عينيه الهزيلتين عن الشمس ، ومن وقت لآخر يخطو من أمام الأكشاك عدد من الشباب والفتيات يتصفّحون أغلفة الكتب ومن ثَمّ يرحلون
