"من أفق الموسيقى، حيث الطّبع والطبيعة لباسٌ واحدٌ ونشوةٌ واحدة، يجيء وسام جبران الى الشعر، وهذا مما أتاح له أن يُعيدَ اكتشاف اللغة الشعريّة، بدءاً من جذورها في الكلمات والأصوات والأشياء.
يجيء إليه كذلك من خارج الهموم السياسية واليومية، المباشرة، ومن خارج لغتها الشعرية الوصفية، منحازا الى المسار الصعب، مسار البحث والسؤال.
ولعل هذا مما جعله يعيد التوكيد على الهموم الكيانية المصيرية، لا بالنسبة الى الفرد وحده، بل بالنسبة كذلك الى الجمع، وأن يبتكر مفرداته وتراكيبه في توترات وإيقاعات مميزة، تنأى بع بعيداً عن اللغة الشعرية العربية السائدة، حتى لتبدو اللغة عنده أشبه بدويّ صاعد من أغوار تكاد أن تختنق، أو كمثل هدير في حنجرة بركان يكاد أن ينفجر.
أظن أن في هذا المجيء المزدوج ما يضمن لكتابته أن تكون وعدا بإغناء الكتابة الشعرية العربية على نحو نادر وخاص."
