الإثنين 14 جانفي 1974 صحبة العديد من الرفاق المعتقلين بدهاليز وزارة الداخلية، كنت أنتظر كالبقية، موعد حصة التعذيب الموالية وحصة الاستنطاق المقبلة، وإذا بأصوات هاتفه تخترق من بعيد الجدران السميكة للزنازين المظلمة... سرعان ما تخيلنا أصوات رفاق قادمين لتحريرنا... انطلقت حناجرنا المجروحة، المبحوحة بالأناشيد الثورية... إلا أن حلمنا لم يدم طويلاً... إذ بسرعة اتضح أنها اصوات متظاهرين يهتفون بحياة بورقيبة تأييداً له على إمضاء ورقة الوحدة بين تونس وليبيا بمدينة جربة يوم السبت 12 جانفي 1974.
نام ذلك الحلم الرائع سبعة وثلاثين عاماً باليوم والساعة أي إلى حد يوم الجمعة 14 جانفي 2011 حيث كنت يومها صحبة ابنتي وحفيدتي أمام الوزارة هذه المرة وسط أمواج متلاطمة متلاحمة من أبناء تونس الأفذاذ ترتطم أصواتهم الهادرة بجدران الوزارة لينعكس صداها داخل أعماق أعماقي: محررةً عذاباتي وعذابات الرفاق والمناضلين على مدى سنين الحرمان الطويلة المضنية في غياهب السجون والمعتقلات، ماسحة دموع الأمهات والأبناء والثكالا... ضحايا سياسات القمع والتعسف التي تطبعت بها السلط المتلاحقة طيلة الخمسين عاماً الفارطة والتي حرّمت على الفرد حق المواطنة ومنعت على الإنسان أن يكون إنسان عصره، واضعة حداً لما آلت إليه البلاد من فساد وإفساد على يادي عصابات النهب والسلب بقيادة "بن علي" و"ليلى"، قاطعة مع روح التسول السياسي والتصحر الفكري وتعميم الرشوة والإرتشاء بين الفئات والأجيال، مجسمة استجابة القدر لهتافات الشباب الثائر لتعيد إلى الذاكرة معدن هذا الوطن الحبيب من عليسة وحنبعل إلى عقبة إلى خير الدين فمحمد على والحداد والشابي.
