"رواية تاريخية تدور في عهد الحاكم أحمد ابن طولون وهى ثلاثية مثل رواية أولاد الناس وتشمل ثلاث حكايات هي : الحكاية الأولى: ميسون - الحكاية الثانية: حلم أحمد - الحكاية الثالثة: العهد
تدور الرواية حول القطائع، هذه المدينة بها سحر القدماء ولعنتهم. لا مفر من عشقها. في الأذقة رائحة الخبيز والحلوى لتذكرنا بمحاسن العيش ومذاق العشق، لا احد يكتفي هنا من الخبز بالسكر، من يد الى يد ومن فم الى فم يذوب القمح في الاعماق ثم ينعش الذاكرة المبهمة، في هذه المدينة خياط ينسج ثوبا من الحرير الخالص ولا احد يعرف مصير صاحبه، ربما كان ثوبا لعروس تشتاق وتتمنى او لوالي الخراج الذي يمشي في الارض مغتالا فرحا، ربما كان مصنوعا من خيوط ممتزجة ببلاء ومعاناه او صبر وجلد، هنا يكمن فرح غير مكتمل وجسد عاجز دوما حتى لو اخذته العزة بالإثم.
