في هذا الكتاب نفحات إيمانية من فكر السيد "أبي عبد الله الحسين القحطاني" تبين أهمية الطاعة للَه من خلال "التسليم لولي الله وبابه الذي منه يؤتى".
يعتبر الكاتب أن الوصول إلى الحق لا يتم إلا إذا تجرد المسلم عن "الميول والأهواء النفسية لأن الإنسان إذا قطع كل ارتباط إلا بالله تعالى كان أهلاً للقبول عند الإمام، فكل إنسان دون المعصوم هو عرضة للخطأ والضلال ما لم يكون مستنداً في كل أفعاله وحركاته وسكناته لمحمد وآل محمد...". من هذا المنطلق يتناول الكتاب بحوثاً خاصة في نقاش كبار العلماء والمحدثين ومراجع الدين حول لب الدين ألا وهو القرآن الكريم وإمام الزمان "المهدي"، كذلك يرد الكتاب على مدعي المهدوية ويناقش هؤلاء المدعين بغية تقصي الحق وتبيان الصدق. من هنا يشدد مؤلف الكتاب على ضرورة "فهم القرآن بصورة واقعية والنظر إليه بعين جديدة تتفجر من خلالها العلوم والمعارف والفيوضات. ورسم صورة واضحة وحقيقية لقضية الإمام المهدي عليه السلام والإحاطة بكل مفرداتها بدءاً من صفات الإمام ومروراً بمراحل الإمام وجيوشه وأعداءه وانتهاءً بالرجعة وخلفاءه عليه السلام".
يحتوي الكتاب مناقشات عديدة نذكر منها: مناقشة القحطاني لرأي السيد الحيدري والطباطبائي في الراسخين في العلم وتأويل القرآن، العصمة تنتقل عن طريق الوراثة، السيد القحطاني يناقش الخوئي في تفسير القرآن، مناقشة الكوراني حول دور اليهود في عصر الظهور الشريف، فكرة السفير الخامس حقيقة أم خيال؟ إلى آخر ذلك من فيوضات أجاد بها السيد القحطاني.
