تهدف هذه الدراسة. "توظيف التقنيات الحديثة في مجال العلاقات العامة" إلى التعرف على واقع عمل تطبيقات التقنية في مجال العلاقات العامة ومدى قدرة إدارة العلاقات العامة على التعامل مع التقنية وتوظيفها في الأنشطة الاتصالية المختلفة، كما سعت الدراسة إلى التعرف على العوائق التي تحول دون ذلك.وتلخصت مشكلة الدراسة في التساؤل الرئيس:ما وظيفة التقنيات الحديثة في مجال العلاقات العامة وما العوائق التي تواجهها؟وللوصول إلى هذا الغرض قسمت الباحثة الدراسة الحالية إلى مبحثين، حيث تناولت في مقدمتها المنهجية مدخلاً عن الموضوع ومشكلة الدراسة وأهدافها وأهميتها، و قد تناول المبحث الأول تقنيات الاتصال في العلاقات العامة، مفهومها، أساليبها، وأهميتها. فيما تناول المبحث الثاني: واقع استخدامات ممارسي العلاقات العامة للتقنية وأبرز الصعوبات التي تعيق ذلك الاستخدام.وعرضت خلال البحث ابرز الدراسات السابقة التي تناولت جانبا من البحث..وتوصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية:1-\tأهمية تكثيف الدورات التدريبية التخصصية في مجال تفعيل استخدام التقنيات الحديثة في مجال العلاقات العامة.2-\tضعف القدرة في التعامل مع التقنية من قبل موظفي العلاقات العامة، لذا من المهم ان تقوم كليات الإعلام والاتصال بتخصيص مواد تدرس الإنترنت وكيفية استخدامه ضمن خطتها الدراسية.3-\tعدم وجود تدريب لموظفي العلاقات العامة لرفع قدراتهم في التعامل مع التقنية بكل أشكالها، لذا تؤكد نتائج هذه الدراسة على أهمية تعزيز دور مدراء العلاقات العامة والإعلام ورفع قدراتهم في مجال التقنيات الحديثة بصورة أكبر بهدف نقل أثر التدريب الخاص بهم إلى المنسقين الإعلاميين وباقي موظفي العلاقات العامة.4-\tالاستفادة بكل الأشكال من مزايا وفوائد الإنترنت الإعلامية والاتصالية إلى جانب المزايا التسويقية لتحقق أهداف العلاقات العامة على أعلى مستوى.
