إن مسألة حرية المرأة والمساواة بينها وبين الرجل، من المواضيع المهمة والتي تثار دوماً في العالمين العربي والإسلامي على حد سواء. من هذا المنطلق تأتي هذه الدراسة الفقهية التي تحاول الباحثة من خلالها استخلاص المرتكزات الخاصة بحرية المرأة في التشريع الإسلامي وذلك من خلال القواعد القرآنية الكريمة التي تشكل تعبيرها القانوني الأول. وسيقوم عملها على استخلاص هذه القواعد الأساسية، من الوسائل المستعملة من قبل المفسرين الأوائل للتشريع الإسلامي.
وفي هذا التحليل تحاول الباحثة إظهار الصلة الوثيقة القائمة بين القواعد الصريحة والمبادئ وترابطها مع العلاقات الاجتماعية من جهة أولى، والكشف، من جهة أخرى، سمة "الحدود" لهذه القواعد.
