هل يمكن أن نعثر داخل حصار الصولية التي هي دين "الخروج من الدين" على نموذج المثقف النقدي الذي يحرص على إعادة طرح أسئلة الإسلام الأكثر راهنية، من أجل مراجعة معاني الماضي التي قذفت بنا في ظلمات هذا الليل البربري؟
ما هي سلعة الأصولية الإسلامية؟ إنها "الفضيلة" التي تجد في الوحي السماوي مصدرها الأخلاقي. ولكن الجهاد من أجل أن يسود "رعب الفضيلة" يظل الوجه الآخر للرغبة في السلطة. إن الرعب هو الفضيلة الذاتية التي نجحت الأصولية الإسلامية في خلقها. بمعنى آخر، هو الإحتفاظ بالفضيلة دون إله.
وإذا كان الخطاب النقدي العربي لا يزال عاجزاً عن تشكيل سلطة أخلاقية تقف في وجه هذا "الرعب الدموي"، فلأنه لم ينجح بعد في تحرير الرؤية العربية الإسلامية من الغائية الجبرية التي تنطلق من التسليم بتأثير قدر ديني مسبق.
أن يصبح الإنسان بناء إنسانياً، هو أن ينجح العربي المسلم في كبح الإنحطاط الذي أصبح حياة عقيمة، ومرضاً أخلاقياً، كما شدّد فريدريك نيتشه، لقد أصبح الإنحطاط صحراء ممتدة بمعنى واحد وهو أن الصحراء هي حالة التيه التاريخي التي نعيش في فوضاها، ووحدها الروح النقدية ستسمح لنا بعبور الصحراء، أي أن نجوب متاهة غربتنا في امتدادها.
