النقد هو أن نأخذ حاضر الإنحطاط العربي إلى آفاق "نهضوية" جديدة، إنه بشارتنا الوحيدة بالخروج من أزمة الماضي، التي لا تكفّ عن سدّ آفاق الراهن، لم يعد ممكناً عدم الإنشغال بشرط الحاجة إلى النقد؛ فالحاضر لا ينبعث بوصفه أفقاً ومخرجاً إلا داخل النقد، فكلاهما - النقد والحاضر - علّة الآخر التأسيسية.
النقد هو تجربة الفكر الباحث عن فعالية حضوره: "أنا أنقد، إذن أنا أحضر".
بهذا المعنى، لم يعد أمام النقد - وهو يصطدم بواقع العروبة المنسحبة من ساحة المواجهة مع الذات والآخر - إلا أن يطرح أسئلة غيابه الأنطولوجيّ: ماذا يعني النقد للحاضر؟ وماذا يعني الحاضر للنقد؟ كيف يصبح النقد واقعاً حاضراً؟ وكيف يصبح الحاضر واقعاً نقدياً؟...
مفارقة "النقد الجديد" أو "النقد الحضاري" أو النقد المعرفي" أو "النقد الثقافي" أو "النقد الدنيوي" أو "النقد المزدوج" أو "النقد المتنوّع" أنه لا يزال إتجاهاً أقلياً وحسّاساً، بسبب إرتباطه بوضع من اصطلح على تسميته بــ "المثقف النقدي" في المجتمع.
لن نمارس النقد اليوم، هو أن نعلن خروجنا على سلطة التقليد؛ وأن نمنح محاولتنا النقدية مشروعيّة لا سلطة.
