من وطنه الصغير فيطرون، ومن وطنه الكبير لبنان يطل علينا الشاعر اللبناني "فؤاد قرادحي" بقصائد زجل تضم التنوع اللبناني بكل أطيافه، وبكل زخمه، وتراثه العريق، فكانت قصائد في الشعر الوطني والشعر الغزلي والشعر الإجتماعي؛ وحتى السياسي، فبدا في عصره شاعراً جماهيرياً بامتياز. توجه بشعره إلى الكل؛ إلى الشهيد، والمرأة، والعامل، وهاجم الاحتكار والمتاجرين بأقوات الشعب وانتقد الهجرة ورحب بالمغتربين "أهلا بالمغتربين/ جيتو على لبنان، سلطان الدهور/ مطرح ما شفتو النور، وقشعتو الوجود/ زهور الجبل، بوجودكن، فاحت عطور(...)". أما غزله بالطبيعة اللبنانية غزل تاريخ إلى جانب كونه غزلاً عاطفياً ووطنياً، "ع مطل الوديان/ بلادي الله محليَها/ السحر بيحكي حكايتها/ ويللَي بيصيَف فيها/ ما بينسى صيفيتها (...)" ويحلو الغزل في قصيدة حين يقول "نسيتي الهوى والعاطفة تخمين/ وخفقاتنا اللَي كانت تلاحين/ ليش هيك صرتي بارمي وجَك/ لا مرحباً، لا حب، لا تطمين(...)".
هكذا هو "فؤاد قرداحي" قصائده ملحنة بدون تلحين: يا ضيعتنا مشتاقين/ كيفك يا جارة صنين/ حلوين ضياعو لبنان/ لكن قدك مش حلوين". ولم يكتف بالشعر وإنما نظم القصيد، والموشح، والعتابا، والأوزان المستحدثة الأخرى، فخرج عن خط المبالغات مع بقائه على الخط الكلاسيكي الرومانتيكي، فجاء أسلوبه مباشراً ذو نزعة عفوية ناضجة ومدركة لأبعاد المرحلة التي عاشتها بلاده.
يبقى أن نشير أن هذا الكتاب يضم أول مجموعة شعرية ولدت عام 1986م وزادت على (129) قصيدة ذات نكهة وطنية لبنانية، وإن دلت على شيء فإنما تدل على أن الزجل رسالة قومية ورسالة أدبية ورسالة تراثية ومجتمعية تشكل جزءاً من وجود لبنان الحضاري...
