لقد حصلت كل جريدتا النهضة "وسورية الجديدة" اللتان يتحدث عنهما هذا الكتاب مضموناً فكرياً أغنى الصحافة العربية عموماً، والصحافة القومية الملتزمة خصوصاً، بتراث تأريخي وأدبي طاول الفترة الممتدة بين عامي 1937 و1941 وإن كانت الجريدتان قد التزمتا بنهج عقائدي معين ووقفتا موقفاً سلبياً أحياناً ناقداً للأفكار والمواقف الأخرى، فإن ذلك هو من طبيعة الحرية، وطبيعة الصراع الفكري، إذ لولا التباين في الأفكار والمواقف والاتجاهات، لأضحت حياتنا الفكرية أشبه بقالب من حديد مقفل على ذاته، لا ينفتح، ولا يتفاعل مع غيره، ولأصبح العقل الإنساني أداة مادية تجترّ نفسها وتفنى في ذاتها، وتتعطّل بالتالي قدرة الإنسان للاتجاه نحو الأفضل من أجل تحسين حياته وتطويرها وتقدمها ولم تخرج النهضة و"سورية الجديدة" عن هذا الإطار النظري في عملهما الصحفي، هذا وقد لعبت هاتان الجريدتان دوراً هاماً في تعريف الرأي العام في الوطن وبلاد الاغتراب، بالمنطلقات الفكرية، وبالمواقف السياسية للحزب السوري القومي الاجتماعي.
ولقلة الدراسات الجامعية التي جاءت لتعريف بهاتات الجريدتان اعتنى "جهاد نصري العقل" بوضع دراسته التي بين يدينا والتي يتناول فيها دراسة الصحافة الملتزمة من خلال هاتين الجريدتين اللتان هما أول مطبوعتين رسميتين، أصدرهما الحزب السوري القومي الاجتماعي في لبنان والبرازيل، وذلك تم من خلال تقسيمة مضمون الدراسة على ثلاثة فصول وخاتمة: تناول في الفصلان الأولان التعريب بكل من الجريدتين وبمضمونها، ويتضمن الفصل الثالث مقارنة بين المطبوعتين المذكورتين، وتناول في الخاتمة الالتزام الصحفي في كل من "النهضة" وسورية الجديدة"... هذا وقد اعتمد في محبة هذا منهجية علمية وتسلسلاً تاريخياً، توخياً منه للحقيقة.
