يجمع عرفان بن سليم حسونة الدمشقي بين طيات هذا الكتيب الأحاديث القدسية التي وردت في صحيحيّ الإمامين الجليلين البخاري ومسلم رحمهما الله تعالى، مع ما جاء في بعض الأحيان من اختلاف في اللفظ أو الرواية، وبهذا يمكن القول أن هذا الكتاب جاء شاملاً لكل الألفاظ والروايات التي جاءت في هذين الصحيحين، وهدفه التسهيل على القارئ الكريم متابعة ما ثبت وصحّ عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فيما يرويه عن ربّ العزّة جلَّ وعلا، ولتكمل الفائدة المرجوة من فهم النصوص، والتي تكمل بعضها بعضاً.
وقد أتى عنوان المؤلف في كتابه على شرح الغريب من الألفاظ، وكذا ما قد يُشكل فهمه على القارئ من معانٍ، لتعمّ الفائدة من الكتاب، وليسهل العمل بما جاء فيه، كما وبذل جهده ليكون الكتاب صغير الحجم، سهل الحفظ، خفيف على النفس، قريب من القلب. ولتحقيق هذا كله عني بترتيبه على فصول وأبواب، مرقماً أحاديثه ومشكلاً إياهاً، مشيراً إلى مصدر الحديث ورقمه كما جاء في الصحيح، مذيلاً إياه بفوائد قيمة لجهابذة أهل العلم، لعظيم نفعها، وجليل قدرها.
