هذا كتابُ "الألفاظ المختلفة في المعاني المؤتلفة" لإمام العربية في زمانه جمال الدين أبي عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الله بن مالك المتوفى سنة 672هـ، وهو أحد الكتب اللغوية التي ألّفها نقدمه إلى قراء العربية بَعْد طول مصاحبة له، وقد كان الظن والمأمول أن أفرغ منه منذ زمن بعيد، ولكنَّ عوارض الوقت حالت دون ذلك، والحمد لله الذي أتاح لي الفراغ منه على الوجه المطلوب، وقد سرتُ فيه متجهاً وجهتين، الوجهة الأولى: تحقيق النص وتحريره وضبط على الوجه الصحيح، والجهة الثانية: تقديم ترجمة لابن مالك مع تعريف بالكتاب وبيان لمنهج المؤلف فيه.
