لتكن بداية رحلة اللجوء الطويلة بعد خفوت شعلة الانتفاضة الشعبانية في العراق ولجوء الآلاف من العراقيين الهاربين من جحيم صدام حسين وهجمات الجيش الشرسة ضد أبناء جلدته أبناء بلده والذين يفترض أن يكون المدافع عنهم والحافي لأمنهم لا الهاجم عليهم عائثاً فيهم كل صنوف التقتيل والتشريد والظلم لحد لا يمكن أن يوصف من الهمجية والعدوانية والشراسة والضراوة، عداوة ابن البلد لابن يحتاج إلى تغطية منفصلة، ولكن لا بد من التنويه بأن تلك الأحداث حصلت بمباركة الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وأمام أنظار العالم المتحضر أجمع حيث استهدف القتل الشباب والشيوخ والأطفال والنساء العزل.
تلك هي بعض من يوميات مخيم رفحاء كانت وربما ستكون مرة لطالما أن التاريخ يعيد نفسه دائماً والحوادث تتكرر بنفس المنطق وبنفس الأسلوب رغم تغيير الوجوه والأوضاع. هذه اليوميات يرويها الباحث "أحمد الموسوي" عبر اعتماد المشاهدة والسماع مادة لنقل هذه الأحداث.
وقد ألحق اليوميات بملحق جمع فيه بعض الوثائق والصور التي توفرت عنده وبعض الرسومات التي كان قد رسمها خلال تواجده في المخيم لمدة عامين متكاملين. وكانت هذه الرسومات تعبر عن حالات ما قبل اللجوء وأثناء اللجوء وأخيراً الأمل! وأطلق على كل لوحة عنواناً بسيطاً وترك تحليلها إلى القارئ.
