"الشق الصغير في جدار فيرمير قد يكون هو الذي يؤلمني الآن. إذ نهمل أنفسنا كثيراً لهذه الشقوق. أقول ذلك يبدأ من طيش. أن تعاشر وسواساً دون أن تقلم أظافره أن ترى فاصلة ونقول أنها لن تغدو واواً مؤلمة، وتظن أن الحذر لا يؤسس جدارنا، وأنك لفرط الحديث مع العابرات لن تجد حياتك ذات يوم على السلم. الشق الصغير الذي اختفى من جدار فيرمير قد يكون كاذباً. إذ الألم مجرد توقيع، ونحن نتكلم بعد انتهاء تاريخه".
تواقيع على جدار الزمن هي كلمات عباس بيضون. ولمريض هو الأمل سطوره المحملة بشتى المعاني التي تجلى الحياة ساحة رموز تتقافز داخل الفكر مشرعة أبوابه ونوافذه على عالم مليء بالألغاز التي ينسرح القارئ منها في محاولة لقراءة تأميلية تكشف ما خلف السطور.
