(الوصية) مراثي درامية نسجت ثيمتها من رحم الفجيعة بفقدان رب العائلة، من هنا جاءت قصائد الديوان بمثابة عربون وفاء من أفراد عائلة إلى الوالد الراحل الذي بكوه فراقاً، وبكوه شوقاً، وليقولوا أنه ما زال يعيش بينهم روحاً، بعد أن افتقدوه جسداً فوسموا الديوان بـ "جوهر بن مبارك التيماني" ليبقى خالداً في ذاكرة كل من قرأ "الوصية".
توزع الديوان على قسمين: القسم الأول قصائد للشاعر الراحل جوهر بن مبارك التيماني. والقسم الثاني: كلمات مهداة من العائلة: وهم على التوالي: الزوجة أم خالد والأولاد: بدر، مبارك، خالد، محمد، أحمد، عبد الرحمن، هند، عبير، هيفاء، وعد، رشا، ريم، والصغيرة المدللة ريهام جوهر التيماني.
جاءت القصائد باللهجة المحلية لبلد الشاعر وتوزعت على بحور الشعر العربي الموزون والمقفى، والشعر العمودي والشعر الحر وهي ما كتبه الشاعر "جوهر" في حياته، أما القسم الثاني فكان عبارة عن نصوص نثرية قصيرة بلغت ثماني نصوص مهداة من عائلة الشاعر كما أسلفنا.
من قصيدة (أحبك) التي يناجي بها الشاعر جوهر زوجته نقتطف شذرات يقول فيها: لو سألت العين ما مثلك شفت، ولو سألت القلب ما غيرك سكن/(...)/ يا حبيبتي كل ما امسيت وأصبحت، فيك افكر والجسم منى وهن(...)".
