يطيب أحيانا لكتاب القصص أن يقدموها مسبوقة بتنبيه أنها من وحى الخيال, وأن أى تطابق بينها وبين أشخاص حقيقين ليس إلا محض مصادفة.. والحذر يقتضينا أن نتمسح بهذا العرف.. وأن نعلن أن أى نائب قشيب يجد فى نفسه شبها بنواب الجاهلية فليطمئن أنه ليس المقصود ولكنها المصادفة.. وليس له أن يتحسس رأسه بالنيابة عن نائب غير محترم أصيب ببطحة, قبل أربعين سنه.
ولأن لكل إنسان سيرة ذاتية فلا بأس من الاطلاع على مذكرات النائب المخضرم الأخ "شخلول".. منذ كان صبيا إلى أن أصبح نائبا محترما يشار إليه بلبنان, ولا يتبادرن إلى الظن أنه كتبها بخطة, فقد كان يكره الكتابة ويزدريها, منذ ضربة عريف الكتاب ووضع قدمية فى "الفلقة".. ولم يكن سبب الإيذاء, أنه بليد بل لأن أمه "حفيظة" تخلفت عن الوفاء بقمع السكر المنصوص عليه فى اتفاقية التعليمية.
يقول شخلول: "منذ صباى وأنا أكره الظلم ولا أصبر على الضيم.. وقد هربت من الكتاب وألقيت الصفيح فى الترعة التى كنت أسبح فيها". ولم يعد صاحبنا إلى الكتاب, وعجز عن القراءة السليمة والكتابة المستقيمة.. والذى يصاب بعاهة مستديمة فى عضو من أعضائه تضاعف له قوانين النمو والمقاومة, قدرة عضو آخر على سبيل التعويض.. ولعل هذا هو الشر فى أن عاهة الأمية عند شخلول قابلها طول فى اللسان وولع بتوابل الحديث, وهى فصاحة تشتبه.. باللماضة.
ومن هنا لم تدون السيرة الذاتية لذلك البرلمانى الفذ فى القراطيس وبطون الكتب.. ولكنها كانت "سماعى" تغنى بها فى مجالسه وأضاف إليها وحذف منها عارفوه.. وما آفة الأخبار إلا رواتها.
