ابن يَعِيش (553 - 643 هـ = 1161 - 1245 م)
من كبار العلماء بالعربية. موصلي الأصل. مولده ووفاته في حلب. رحل إلى بغداد ودمشق، وتصدر للإقراء بحلب إلى أن توفي. كان ظريفا محاضرا، كثير المجون، مع سكينة ووقار، له في ذلك نوادر. من كتبه «شرح المفصل - ط» و «شرح التصريف الملوكي - خ» لابن جني، في شستربتي (4941) بوشر طبعه في حلب [ابن خلكان 2: 341 وابن الوردي 2: 176 ودائرة البستاني 1: 552 والشذرات 5: 228 وإعلام النبلاء 4: 411 وهو في نسخهم «المطبوعة» جميعا ابن «الصائغ» وعنهم Brock 1: 358 S 1: 521.، 169 Huart وفي بغية الوعاة 419 النص بالحروف: «ابن الصانع، بصاد مهملة ونون»].
